SE Automation (SEA) and SIEMENS are proud to announce the expansion of the Distributed Controller family with two additional technology CPUs. The CPU 1514SP T-2 PN and CPU 1514SP TF-2 PN are provided with extended Motion Control functions and are based on the innovative firmware version V3.0 of the SIMATIC S7-1500 controllers.

The CPUs are suitable for applications with medium requirements for program scope and processing speed. They address demanding applications with a focus on Motion Control, such as cross-industry automation tasks in series machine, special machine, and plant engineering. Further, the CPUs are suitable for distributed configuration via PROFINET IO.

With two integrated interfaces, these CPUs are ready to take on whatever task is needed to be completed.

Highlights:

  • Integrated Motion Control functionalities for controlling speed-controlled, positioning, and synchronized axes (gearing and camming, velocity gearing), support for external encoders, output cams/cam tracks and measuring inputs.
  • Technology object for controlling kinematics with up to 4 interpolating axes, e.g. Cartesian portal, delta picker, roller picker, articulated arm, cylindrical robot, tripod picker and SCARA.
  • Cross-PLC synchronous operation for synchronization of multiple SIMATIC S7-1500T Controllers
  • Motion control performance (approx. 11 positioning axes at 4 ms servo clock and 35 % system utilization through Motion Control)
  • Security integrated
  • Innovative design and handling
  • Integrated system diagnostics
